East Cambridgeshire DC will be stopping its plastic bottle recycling collections shortly. This is one of a number of cost cutting measures that the Council has had to make in order to achieve savings targets of £1.6 million during the coming year.
Last collections will take place during the 2 weeks ending on Friday 26th March. After this time any plastic bottles left for collection will be removed as refuse.
Residents are being asked to continue to recycle plastic bottles through recycling banks, which will be emptied more frequently to allow for the additional material that is expected.
A copy of the newspaper advert & list of recycling banks in the area for your information can be found at the links below. The newspaper ad also includes details of Easter waste collection changes. Collections will be unchanged on Good Friday 2nd April, and will be one day later than usual during the following week.
